Same Day Appointments: Same day appointments are typically reserved for an acute illness or injury. If the schedule is full, we do our best to see where we can fit you in. Be aware there may be a wait time as we will be working you in between the regular scheduled appointments.
Well child visits: You will be asked to schedule subsequent wellness exams at the end of every well child visit. This assures that your child will have a place on the schedule ahead of time and that their well visits and immunizations on time.
Cancellations: If you should need to cancel or change an appointment, we ask that you please notify our office 24 hours in advance so that we may accommodate families who might be needing appointments. Any appointment not canceled at least 3 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time will be subject to a $25 fee. There will be a $25 no show fee added to the account for all missed appointments. After 3 missed appointments you may be subject to dismissal from the practice. We politely request you give as much notice as possible for any schedule changes or delays in arrival.
Running late: If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late, please call our office so we can reschedule your appointment for a more convenient time. If your child is sick and you still wish to be seen the doctor might agree to add you back into the schedule between regular scheduled visits. Please note there may be a longer than usual wait time if you are late for your appointment and being worked back into the schedule.
Financial policy: By signing our Financial Policy Form, you acknowledge you agree and fully understand the Office Appointment Policy.
After Hours Calls
We have a physician on-call 7 days a week for emergencies only. If you have routine questions, please use your patient portal or call during our regular office hours. All after- hour calls will be answered in a timely manner. Calls between the hours of 10pm and 6am will be subject to a $25 charge.
Medical Records Release
Medical records can be transferred to another physician at no charge by sending us a request to transfer from the new physician taking over care. We ask that you give us up to 2 weeks to prepare and send your child’s medical records. A request for a printed copy of your Childs full medical record will be subject to a $25.00 fee.
Shot Record
A copy of the updated shot record will be given at every checkup when a vaccine is administered. Immunization records can also be requested and printed from the patient portal found on our website. Immunization records will be released within 2-3 business days after request.
School, daycare, camp physicals
Please allow us 3-5 business days for your school, daycare, camp, and sports physical forms to be filled out. For any forms requiring more than a signature, additional fees may apply. Medication refills Please allow our office 72 hours for prescription refills.
Medication refills
will only be done during our normal business hours. The on-call physician will not prescribe non-urgent refills after hours or on weekends. For any new prescriptions being sent the patient must have a documented visit. Please request all prescription refills via the Patient Portal. All patients on ADHD medications are required to request a new prescription each month. They are required to have a visit every 3 months either in person or via telemedicine.
Immunization Policy
We strongly believe that immunizations are an important tool in protecting children and communities from potentially deadly diseases. We have many newborns and other immunocompromised patients that we aim to keep healthy and protect them through herd immunity. We encourage all of our families here at Love & Grow Pediatrics to follow the vaccine schedule that is recommended by Centers for Disease Control. If you have specific questions or concerns regarding vaccines or the vaccine schedule, please schedule an appointment and we can discuss this further.
